FACIAL SKIN CONSULTATION

As we age, the more expressive areas of the face, such as the forehead, the skin around the eyes, and the skin around the mouth, are more likely to develop creases. In addition, our natural production of elastin and collagen diminishes. Your treatment coordinator will be able to set up a consultation with an appropriate clinician to discuss a variety of non-invasive, non-surgical procedures that may be helpful.

They will discuss your preferences as well as the available options, which include dermal and lip filler injections as well as Botox injections, a prescription-only medication that can relax frown lines. These treatments, administered by a skilled and professionally trained practitioner in a secure and sterile environment such as a dental clinic, can complement one another for a balanced and healthy appearance. However, facial aesthetics are unregulated, meaning that not all practitioners adhere to the same high clinical standards as dentists.

FACIAL SKIN CONSULTATION BENEFITS AT SMILE HUB DENTAL CLINIC

Enhance your self-esteem by refining the appearance of your epidermis

Give your epidermis a break and you will delay the ageing process.

There is scientific evidence that limiting our capacity to frown makes us happier and improves our moods.

We will only provide treatment that is safe, and we reserve the right to refuse treatment if there are moral or psychological concerns.

WHAT EXACTLY IS BOTOX?

Botox is derived from the potent neurotoxin botulinum. However, this is not a cause for concern because the concentrations used in facial aesthetics are minute. Botox, when administered in these therapeutic quantities, blocks nerve impulses to the underlying muscles, preventing them from contracting as strongly. Botox can also be used medically to treat chronic conditions such as migraines and excessive perspiration, in addition to its cosmetic applications .

HOW DOES BOTOX WORK?

Botox gives the skin around the muscle a break from the stress of continuously contorting to form facial expressions by inhibiting nerve impulses and limiting muscle movement. This will diminish the appearance of deeper creases. The appearance of fine lines and minor creases will diminish significantly. By resting these areas of epidermis, the ageing process is also slowed.

WHAT TO ANTICIPATE

Following a facial skin consultation, we conduct Botox injections only when ethically permissible.

It's a thirty-minute consultation with our Dentist Dr Laura Fee who will discuss your goals, inquire about your medical history, and provide treatment recommendations.

We administrate this only available by prescription drug to patients aged 18 to 65

Botox treatment typically lasts about 15 minutes.

As with all injectable treatments, the Botox administration may cause some discomfort and localised soreness, but this will subside quickly.

The duration of the effects is approximately three to four months. The duration of the initial effects is approximately two to three days, and the duration of the complete effects is two to three weeks.

Following treatment, you will need to refrain from strenuous exercise for a few days. During the next two weeks, one should also avoid beauty treatments, facial massages, exposure to intense sunlight, extreme cold, and saunas.

WHAT FACIAL ZONES IS BOTOX SUITABLE FOR TREATING?

Botox is injected into areas of the face that play a significant role in creating facial expressions and are therefore prone to the development of lines and wrinkles. Commonly treated areas include frown lines, crow's feet around the eyes, and creases and lines around the corners of the mouth.
