Dental Crowns

A crown is a cap that is placed over a tooth to restore its natural aspect and function. It can be used to repair or enhance the appearance of teeth when conventional filling materials are insufficient.

Crowns are aesthetically pleasing, as they rectify crooked or misshapen teeth and replace large, unsightly fillings. Smile Hub Dental Clinic offers both metal-free and gold crowns, and treatment only requires two visits.

REPLACING MISSING TEETH

Each of the following methods for replacing lacking teeth has distinct advantages. It would be necessary to consult with one of our dentists about the most suitable treatment for your specific needs.

DENTURES

Dentures are cost-effective artificial teeth that fill gaps of any size up to what are known as full dentures, which involve the replacement of all upper and lower teeth. They can be fixed, or removable, and modern technology has greatly reduced the traditional problem of movement, which occurs when a denture becomes loose in the mouth, causing discomfort and disgrace. Prices are determined on an individual basis.

BRIDGES

Crowns are inserted on the teeth on either side of a space to support one or more artificial teeth in conventional bridges. Costs for bridges begin at (PRICE) per tooth.

ADHESIVE BRIDGES

These have extensions that adhere to the adjacent teeth to secure the replacement tooth. They require less dental preparation than traditional bridges, but are not appropriate for all areas of the mouth. Prices per molar range from (PRICE).

DENTAL IMPLANTS

These involve the insertion of titanium screws into the mandible, where they fuse with the bone and can support an artificial replacement. This is the most sophisticated method of tooth replacement, but it is not always appropriate.

Treatment typically lasts between three and six months. Our dentists could advise you on this matter. The cost of an implant consultation that includes X-rays is (PRICE). Please call us today for more information on crowns, bridges, and implants offered in Bayside.

INLAYS AND ONLAYS

Inlays and onlays are used to restore and protect molars and premolars that have been damaged. They differ from traditional fillings in that they are fabricated prior to placement. When a tooth is too damaged to sustain a normal filling but not severely enough to warrant a full crown, a ceramic or porcelain inlay or onlay may be used.
